There is a tremendous amount of major news and it just gets better and better!!  We all know the news about RACHEL ALEXANDRA and ZENYATTA ( which is only six weeks from Friday ). There is SO MUCH MORE leading up to that. The Southwest Stakes Saturday at Oaklawn proved once again to be a showcase of major talent on the Kentucky Dery trail and the Rebel Stakes on March 13th at Oaklawn is looking ( no pun intended ) even better!! The D'Wayne Lukas trained DUBLIN left a stunned look on the faces of any and all of his critics as he closed from nearly 20 lengths back to run an incredible 2nd to the front running winner CONVEYANCE in the one mile stakes race for 3-year-olds. One note of bad news from the Southwest for DRYFLY fans is that he is off the Derby trail and will be out until the fall with a stress fracture to his left knee. That opens the door for another Bob Baffert star to possibly travel to Oaklawn for the March 13th Rebel Stakes. LOOKING AT LUCKY is being highly considered for the Rebel. CONVEYANCE , owned by the Zabeel Racing International of Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed al-Maktoum, will not be at Oaklawn for the Rebel which opens the door for LOOKING AT LUCKY. CONVEYANCE will possibly travel to Dubai for the March 27th ,Grade 2, $2 million United Arab Emirates Derby. UH OH BANGO will also be shipping in from Turf Paradise to prepare for the Rebel. March 13th will also be the day we get to see RACHEL ALEXANDRA race in New Orleans and ZENYATTA race in California as they prep for the April 9th showdown in the $5 Million Apple Blossom, the most anticipated race this generation will EVER see!!
